UK Rain Radar Maps

Will it rain today?

Us Brits are obsessed with the weather, which is why sites like Raintoday.co.uk are so popular. Whether it's planning a day out, playing sport, or simply something to have a hearty debate over in the pub, we take our obsession with all things weather to extreme lengths.

Now, thanks to Raindar.co.uk and the fabulous folks at the MetOffice you too can have a map of any area of the UK you want right there on your own website.

How does it work?

Simple, just navigate to the Create Map page and start designing your own map. Use the sliders to set the width, height, number of radar images and the delay between them and we'll do the rest. Upon creation of your map, we'll give you simple instructions on how to embed the map onto your site. All you need is to include some javascript and put a <div> wherever you want your map and that is it. More detailed instructions are given upon creation of the map, so what are you waiting for? Get creating!

NEW: JQuery is no longer required!

Why? Who would find this useful?

If you're a local cricket team, or any other weather affected sport, this could prove useful. Or maybe you run a website for your village/town and would like to know whether to take an umbrella to the shops. It's free to use, and we don't collect any personal information from you.
